We handle all kinds of house lockouts

Keys locked inside

We open the door with pick tools rather than force, leaving your lock, frame and paint untouched. The cylinder works normally afterward, so there is nothing to replace.

Lost or stolen keys

Getting you inside is only half of the process. We rekey your locks during the same visit, so any missing keys stop working before anyone can use them

Locked out after dark

It’s stressful to be standing outside your own house at nite, and you want to be in now, not tomorrow morning. Our technicians work late all over the county, so when you call someone is close to you.

Apartments and condos

We open your unit once residency is confirmed, using a lease, a utility bill or addressed mail. If everything is locked inside, we can verify with your property manager instead.

Side and garage entry doors

These seize more than front doors because they take daily use in salt air. We open yours, then clean and lubricate the cylinder so it does not strand you again.

Seasonal homes and rentals

A key that will not turn after months away usually means a corroded cylinder, not the wrong key. We get you inside and service the lock on the spot.

How We Open a House Without Damaging the Lock

We pick the lock, not break it

Most residential locks are pickable. The pins inside are manipulated until the cylinder turns exactly as your key would, at which point the lock resumes normal operation.

Your hardware stays on the door

That matters more than people realize. A deadbolt you paid for is still doing its job after we leave, so you won't have to buy a replacement on top of the lockout.

Drilling is a very last resort on a very small number of high security cylinders. If your lock is one of them, we advise you before we get started, and we carry replacement hardware in the van so you are never left at an open door.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you open a smart lock or a keypad lock?

Usually yes. Keypad and smart locks almost always keep a physical key override, and we can work that the same way as any other cylinder. If the batteries have died rather than the lock failing, that is often a quicker fix than a full lockout.

What if I am renting and do not own the home?

That is fine, and it is a common call. You will need photo identification plus something showing you live there, such as a lease, a utility bill or mail with the address on it. If everything is locked inside, we can often work with your landlord or property manager instead.

My door is deadbolted. Does that change anything?

Sometimes. A standard deadbolt is straightforward. A high security cylinder with anti pick pins takes longer, and on a small number of those, drilling is the only route. We tell you before anything starts and we carry replacement hardware in the van.

There is a pet inside. Is that urgent?

Tell us when you call. A pet alone inside a house is usually not the emergency that a pet in a hot car is, but it changes how we prioritise the job. If the animal is in distress or the house has no air conditioning running, say so and we will treat it as urgent.

Can you open a door that is locked from the inside?

Often, but not always. A door held by a chain, a security bar or a thumb turn that has been flipped from inside cannot be opened the usual way, because the lock itself is not the obstacle. Describe what you are dealing with on the phone and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

What if I lost my keys rather than locking them in?

Then the lockout is only half the job. Once you are inside, those keys are still out there, and if anything with your address was on the same ring it is worth rekeying that day. We can do both in the same visit so you are not booking a second appointment.
